video for this Unit. The video features Catherine Coakley who is a Child Life
specialist at Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas whose job
is to help make the hospital experience as comfortable as possible for
paediatric patients. One way she does this is by explaining medical procedures.
In this video she explain to a young boy how an IV is started and what it is
used for. Also included are links to the Youtube site it was downloaded from
and a site which contains links to to other videos produced by Via Christi Hospital: the largest provider of health
care services in Kansas.

Please

respiratory examination. It comes from a series of videos under the title
'Clinical Skills Online' produced by St. George's Hospital at the University of
London. The Clinical Skills Online (CSO) is a project aimed at providing
online videos demonstrating core clinical skills common to a wide range of
medical and health-based courses. This project has been funded by the
Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary
Medicine.
